WINE from GOLDEN HILL
Over the years the land at The Farm on Golden Hill has produced bountiful harvests of berries, beautiful fields of flowers, rolling hills of grass seed and now our soil is home to 20 acres of grapes. It used to be said that the soil was made of gold because everything that was planted, thrived. Our hope is that as guests visit, they understand the history and the heartfelt years of labor and tending that went into creating the breathtaking views and delicious wine.
In the fall of 2020, we handpicked our first ever harvest. After many long hours of planting, caring, and tending to the plants, we were so excited to see the beautiful fruit that our vines produced.
9 acres of Chardonnay were harvested, sold to local winemakers and a few bottles will be produced under The Farm on Golden Hill’s label. In addition to the Chardonnay that was planted in 2018, 11 acres of Pinot Noir, and 3 acres of Riesling will be ready for harvest in the fall of 2021.
